Arts Week - Fern Creek
This week, we introduced the Arts at Fern Creek Elementary School! Mo McKnight Howe, the owner of Revelry Boutique in NULU, came to talk to the girls about different forms of art. Revelry is both a boutique and a more traditional gallery, and she explained to the girls how art does not have to be typical, but it can also be interactive and fun! Our other guest, Olivia Eckert, talked to our girls about why the arts are important to her. Olivia is a sophomore at the University of Louisville and interns at the Speed Art Museum, as well as working at the Louisville Ballet Company. She used her experience teaching dance to give the girls a fun ballet lesson!
